TOGETHER WE #MAKEMKEWHOLE

omTown Wisdom Lab

The omTown Wisdom Lab is a space to explore meditation techniques in a social, curious, and inclusive way. We sit together (virtually) for a short instructed meditation practice. After the meditation, we invite sharing of experiences, questions, and wisdom. We’re based on the model of the Consciousness Explorers Club, which values the community as the teacher. We all have the potential to help each other along this path of exploring the awesomeness that is the human experience. We’re here to support you in developing the skills of clarity, focus, creativity, and kindness, and we think that the simplest practices can make a world of difference in how you show up to your life. No experience necessary. Come sit with us!

FAQ’s:

I’m new to meditation. Can I join? Absolutely! All are welcome. The practices are aimed at supporting everyone from no-experience to well-practiced meditators. Bring a friend!

Why meditate in a group? Sitting with a group helps keep us motivated and inspired on our quest to explore all this wonderful practice has to offer. There will be time to share experiences and questions after the sit, but no one is obligated to share or even have your camera on. We appreciate both the sharing and the space holding of our whole community.

I’m interested, but I don’t know all the fancy lingo. Will I be lost? We hope not! This space is about sharing basic practices, and guidance will be offered using direct language as you practice in whatever ways make sense to you.

Who is the teacher? The Lab is directed by Elise Krause, MMS, PA-C, CYT 500, a longtime meditator and local yoga teacher and the Special Projects Director of omTown Yogis. Elise is passionate about sharing practical tools that help us show up to our lives as clearer, cooler, and more connected humans. As the Lab grows, we'll bring in other teachers to share their practices with you, too!

What is the fee? There is no fee, this is a free community service!

Sounds neat! When do we meet? We meet on the first and third Sundays of each month at 9 AM. There will be a brief intro, a short practice (20-30 min), and then time after to share. Expect about 45 minutes of awesomeness total. Drop in whenever you’d like!
