This program has been instrumental in bringing yoga teachers and students, both new to yoga and not, together fostering our oneness with each other and nature. Parks in this program are: Atwater Park, Brown Deer Park, Klode Park and Washington Park/Urban Ecology Center.

PROGRAM

CASS STREET SCHOOL

omTown grant recipient, Mary Witte, has taught what peace feels like and how to access it to 1st graders year over year at Cass Street School. She also teaches yoga to high school students at Carmen High School through a continuation of the same grant.

PRISON YOGA PROJECT

In partnership with Well on Your Way, omTown Program Lead, Joe Frederick, organizes and places certified yoga teachers in various correctional facilities to serve those incarcerated in Milwaukee by teaching mind-body techniques of yoga. This program is paused due to the pandemic.

In Shorewood's beautiful Milwaukee Public Library, omTown's Program Lead, Alicia Darrow, organized several family yoga classes, led by a variety of kids yoga teachers including omTown Advisor, Pam Miller.
